Your own bike

Some riders really want to be on their own machine, the one they know inside out. I completely understand, and it's absolutely doable. You just need to plan the logistics a little in advance.

To get the bike here, you have two options: road and ferry from Spain if you've got the time and the appetite for the trip, or a specialist shipping company that handles everything. Either way, allow for the lead times.

On the paperwork side, don't cut corners: registration document, green card, a third-party insurance policy valid in Morocco, and above all a repatriation insurance that actually covers off-road riding. That's the kind of detail people forget and then get stuck with at the border.
